Haley Augello
We are thrilled to announce that Haley Augello, esteemed Olympian and World Championship competitor, will be making a special appearance at our upcoming wrestling event. Hailing from Lockport, Illinois, Haley’s impressive career includes representing the United States at the 2016 Rio Olympics and competing in the 2017 World Championships.
A graduate of Lockport Township High School, Haley’s dedication to wrestling was evident early on. She achieved remarkable success at King University in Bristol, Tennessee, securing two college national championships.
In 2016, Haley won the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at the 48 kg category, earning her a spot on the Olympic team. She continued to excel by finishing second at the World Olympic Games Qualifier in Mongolia, which secured her qualification for the Olympics.
Beyond her competitive achievements, Haley has been a trailblazer in women’s wrestling. She was inducted into the Lockport Township High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016, becoming the youngest post-graduate member at that time.
Currently, Haley serves as the Head Women’s Coach for Beat the Streets Chicago, where she inspires and mentors young female wrestlers across the city.
